Here are some reviews that some of our students have given us.
"After retirement I spent 3 years learning to play the alto saxophone using a teach yourself book. Nothing wrong with the book but no feedback and no great progress. Five lessons so far at Grey Row and already significant
progress and confidence. Short snappy lessons with a little bit of theory, some practice exercises, a tune or two and homework. What more could you want?" - Ken (Saxophone)
"Malcolm manages to keep each lesson fresh and interesting and whilst I may have taken the guitar up 30 years too late he manages to make me feel that it's never too late." - Phil (Guitar)
"Having always wanted to play the drums (from knee-high to a grasshopper age!) I have recently started with Susan at Grey Row. A beginner at the age of 51. I have found Susan to be eternally patient, with a very relaxed teaching style. I realise I have a long way to go yet, but feel that I am at last on the way to achieving my lifelong goal. Many thanks Susan for also helping me to find and set up a suitable drum kit - well beyond the call of duty!" - John (Drums)
" I wouldn't miss my drum lesson for anything !" - Charlotte (Drums)
"The music lessons offered at Grey Row Studios are superb. I wanted to learn in a comfortable but professional set up, and that's what you certainly get there, well structured lessons week on week, with teaching styles that do make a difference, in a short space of time" - David (Drums & Piano)
"I think the location is excellent because it is in the open so there are no distractions. I learn a lot from my lessons and think they are quality! Malcolm is friendly and is good at what he does" - Rory (Guitar)
"The location is excellent and provides an environment to focus with no distractions. The tutor is patient and provides support and encouragement. I have found the sessions to date very enjoyable" - Keiran (Drums)
"The tuition is of very good quality and I have learnt so much in my weekly lessons. It has improved my guitar playing and also made me understand the background of the guitar through learning new techniques. The location is ideal and my evening time slot suits me very well" - Miles (Guitar)
"Friendly approach to teaching, with lessons tailored to own ability" - Chloe (Drums)
"I went along to Grey Row with my son for a drum "taster" session - he didn't take up the drums, but I did!! Largely due to Susan's friendly and welcoming approach to teaching (she let me have a "taster" too). She is always very encouraging about my efforts - even in these early stages. The lessons are always very relaxed , but structured and Susan is always willing to accommodate individual musical tastes, making the lessons enjoyable too. The studio is a fantastic place to learn - would recommend Grey Row to anyone wanting to take up drumming." - Linda (Drums)
