Susan Morrison started playing the drums at the age of twelve in her home town of Aberdeen. She was taught at home by a music teacher who made learning fun and who ensured that she always wanted to learn more. This passion for playing the drums grew to such an extent that she decided that she wanted to study Music Performance so she moved to Perth and studied at Perth College for 3 years. During this time she was taught by many great musicians. Having enjoyed these courses so much she applied for, and was accepted for an Honours Degree course at Northbrook College in Worthing (part of the University of Brighton) on the south coast of England. Susan then moved back to settle in Perth and set up Grey Row Studios with Malcolm Devenny. She has had great experience over the years of teaching many people.
Malcolm Devenny started playing guitar at the age of twelve having shown interest in music from a very early age. He was lucky enough to be surrounded by a musical family back in his hometown of Ottawa, Canada. After finishing secondary school he studied Music Performance at Perth College where he was taught by several well known guitarists including Zac (from The Proclaimers). He then applied and was accepted for a BA Honours course in Music Performance at Northbrook College, Worthing (part of the University of Brighton). Malcolm then moved back to Perth to settle and set up Grey Row Studios with Susan Morrison.
Rob Slater started to play the keyboard when he was thirteen years old but his interest in music has always been there since he can remember, from playing the Bass Drum in his father’s band when he was about four years old to the present day. Rob was born and raised in Manchester, but when he was sixteen years old he moved to Sunderland where he decided to develop his musical knowledge further and study music at college. After completing a National Diploma in Music Practice gaining a triple grade distinction, Rob decided to take his studies one step further and moved to Perth where he attended Perth College. Rob has recently completed his BA Degree in Popular Music with distinction and is currently studying for his Honours Degree in the same subject.
